BACKGROUND INFORMATION...

The Night Creepers are a clan of "high-tech" ninjas that began working for the Cobra Organization in 1990.  They are shrouded in mystery.  Any attempts to learn more about where and how the Night Creepers operate has been futile and even led to the disappearance of the several investigators.  The G.I. Joe Team only learned of their existence through documents captured from a Cobra base.

What IS known is that they are led by a shadowy character only known as the Night Creeper Leader and that supposedly they are in charge of Cobra's covert operations.  In addition to their incredible martial arts skills and stealth abilities - they make use of the latest state-of-the-art anti-detection technology.  By 1994, they learned to use "inviso-power" to keep their presence concealed against their enemies.  In hand-to-hand combat, the Night Creeper's utilize a special move called the "Banzai Bash".

The Night Creepers are considered extremely dangerous and should be avoided at all costs!

NIGHT OF THE CREPERS!

Once Storm Shadow left Cobra and joined Snake Eyes on the G.I. Joe Team...  Cobra had a serious "ninja deficiency" on their hands.  So the addition of the Night Creeper (troop builder figures) was a welcome sight to the toyline.  They showed up several times in the Joe media, but their appearances in the cartoon were sometimes awkward as DIC Entertainment was producing the shows.  Those episodes were often bizarre.  For example, at one point the Night Creepers were replaced by mummy warriors that had been resurrected.  The mummies wore the top portion of the Night Creeper uniform, but no pants.  Weird.

When the G.I. Joe Classified figures started leaning harder on the look of the Classic figures - the Night Creeper is one I was looking forward too.  When they finally got to him it was clear Hasbro nailed this figure!  The look is fantastic - they got the mauve-ish, purple-y color perfect.  A little darker tone than before, but truly fitting for him to keep out of sight.  This figure creates intrigue on how sneaky and stealthy he could really be.

The accessories load-out for this guy is spot-on as well!  He has all the gear the original came with - the crossbow, backpack, and 2 swords.  But of course they cranked it up a notch.  The crossbow can be stored on the backpack, as can both swords.  He also has a few hand variations to chose from.  But, in my opinion, the coolest option is the second head accessory.  You can switch the original-style noggin for the helmeted head that looks like the 1993 Ninja Force version of the figure!  Awesome!  I really like this figure!  Nice work Hasbro!
