    Oh, it has been far too long... but now it's time to bring you another round of One Word Reviews!!!  This time we are looking at Series 6!!!  We were starting to delve into crazier territory at this point.  Some people liked it, some people still throw up thinking about it, but what do the SCC Judges think???  Well, we will just have to find out!

    Joining us as usual - my childhood friends, Joe collectors, and overall cool guys - Deathwish and Knightmare!  We grew up with this stuff - buying it, collecting it, battling with it, and constantly talking about it!    As per usual - ONE word for per figure (though these guys occasionally stretch that rule a bit!!!) and you cannot duplicate the word in the Series!

    So the idea of One Word Reviews comes from WAAAAAY back in the day.  My friend Aaron had moved away, but we still kept in touch by writing to one another.  When a new series of Joes would come out, he would send me a list of the figures and his thoughts on them... usually with only one word.  I still have Aaron's "review" of the 1987 assortment!  Obviously, he can't follow the rules of not duplicating the words or anything, but I have added his words for the figures below.  He also did not do the vehicle drivers.  Aaron is identified under the code name "Ambush".

    Further thoughts from Knightmare...  "Not much to say about this bunch.  Seems like an even mix of the good, bad, and ugly.  Two things do seem to stand out though.  G.I. Joe looks like they are trying to ride the movie and super bowl markets with two figures in particular.  The other thing that stands out, is the number or topless or half-top figures in this Wave.  Are G.I. Joe and Cobra meeting up for a trip to the club or something?"

    Well, it would appear some of those characters that walked on the wild-side did not fair well.  Crystal Ball probably did the worst.  On the other hand, I'm surprised CC in his Battle Armor got some good words.  I was under the assumption that this figure is not very popular (I like it though).  This group was quite the mixed bag...  Hasbro was throwing all kinds of ideas at the wall this year.  

    And that wraps up the run of One Word Reviews.  These are primarily the years my friends and I collected.  We all began to slow down shortly after this.  So this series will be taking a break now.  Will it return in the future with Series 7 and so forth?  It's... possible...?  For now though, it is on indefinite hiatus, but there is still plenty more other Joe content coming soon at the SCC!!
