    Cobra Officers have always been a part of Cobra, going all the way back to the beginning in 1982.  They are well-trained and highly skilled adversaries!  Most often, they are in charge of leading Cobra Troopers into battle, but they are cross-trained to fill a variety of roles.  They can act as spies, artillery spotters and even air-traffic controllers.  

    In 1989, several Officers were tapped for duty with Cobra's Python Patrol.  This sub-group is a division of Cobra Troops that have been outfitted with special equipment and uniforms that are resistant to radar.  The process to which everything is upgraded with this new technology is called "Pythonizing".

    The Python Officers now have their extensive training expanded to include special courses in stealth tactics which help them to better understand the advantages of the Python Patrol camouflage and gear they use. 

    The original Python Officer actually used the mold of the Cobra Trooper, and the Python Trooper used the mold of the Cobra Officer.  With close similarities between the two, it would be easy to mix them up.  Though no one knows if this was an accident or deliberate.

    Hasbro released the Classified Python Officer in 2022.  This time he looks like a proper Cobra Officer, correcting that strange swap in 1989.  This is a great figure though he has several small accessories (I left most of them in the package so I don't lose them)!  I just happened upon this figure at Target when it was on 50% clearance!  It was the last one!  Oh yeah, I'm not passing this one up!

    I feel Hasbro did a good job on this one!  I would give this figure 4 out of 5 stars!!!  What would you give him?  More?  Less?  Let me know why in the comments below!
