Classified Center Stage - ZARTAN (Cobra Convergence 6)

"He's the evil Master of Disguise - Zartan!  He changes color right before your eyes - Zartan!"

    Zartan wears many hats.  He is a master of disguise, a mercenary, and in some continuities - a ninja.  He is probably most known as the leader of the Dreadnok biker gang.  He typically dwells deep in the Florida swamps where he has a run-down shack that really is a sophisticated base.  When operating in the swamps, his vehicle of choice is a small, one-man Swamp Skier that has the ability to change color to blend in with it's surroundings.  Cobra may hire Zartan for his ability to disguise himself and infiltrate specific locations, or they may hire him with the Dreadnoks for more underhanded jobs no one else wants to take.  

    As a master of disguise, Zartan will use various methods to change his appearance from masks, to make-up, to even hologram technology to go undercover.  He can change his voice and dialect and is even capable of speaking multiple languages.  Zartan even has the ability to change his own skin color to camouflage himself.

    His Dreadnoks are a wild and unruly bunch, but they will typically listen to him and follow his orders.  Two of the Dreadnok members are his brother and sister - Zandar and Zarana.  Though they are usually found under Cobra's employ, Zartan is not opposed to working against them if it deems more profitable to him.

    What a great figure!!!  This Classified version of Zartan is not exactly the same as the original, yet it maintains most of the elements that made the 1984 figure rock!  He has the hood, the face-paint, the laser pistol, the mask and backpack!  All awesome!!  Zartan was included in my Top 10 Favorite Cobra/Villains List, so this was definitely a figure I wanted to get my hands on!

    Hasbro really knocked it out of the ballpark with this one!  Sure, it would have been nice to get the color-change ability.  It also would have been nice to get a Swamp-Skier vehicle (although that would have REALLY pushed him out of my price range).  But as he is, this figure clicks all the necessary boxes of what I want out of a Zartan figure.

    My Zartan figure went and got himself a mini photo-shoot at a nearby park.  We've gone to this park for years!  This is one of my favorite spots to photograph action figures!  Often some of the kids and I will hop in the van and cruise out there with a pile of Joes!  The park has some nice, green and swampy areas around.  So this was perfect for this figure because that's right where Zartan likes to be!
